Can You See What Eye See at the ALA

Hello CYSWES enthusiasts,

Here’s what’s happening next.

Can You See What Eye See? will be featured at the American Library Association Annual Conference and Exhibition in Washington DC, June 23- 28, 2022, at Readers Magnet’s booth. There is excitement and anticipation around this event with 550 exhibitors because this annual event did not take place for the past two years because of Covid.

A little history about ALA. October 6, 1876 is the birthday of the American Library Association. The Centennial Exposition in Philadelphia in 1876, 103 librarians, 90 men, and 13 women, responded to a call for a “Convention of Librarians” to be held October 4-6 at the Historical Society of Pennsylvania. So, there’s quite a history of the prestigious annual event.

As the world’s biggest library event, the onsite Annual Conference & Exhibition brings together thousands of librarians and library staff, educators, authors, publishers, friends of libraries, trustees, special guests, and exhibitors.

Here’s hoping this will bring good exposure for our book.

Stay tuned,
